According to the 1977 edition of the American Air Mail Catalogue, the pilots that flew the April 15, 1926 inaugural flight for CAM Route 2 were Charles Augustus Lindbergh, Philip R. Love, and Thomas P. Nelson, and they, along with H.A. Gurney, E.L. Sloniger, and Leslie H. Smith, also flew the February 20-21, 1928 special flights that honored Lindbergh's two-day return to the route. CAM Route 2 was extended on July 20, 1931, from St. Louis to Memphis, Tennessee, and the pilots on the inaugural flights, for this extension, were T.R. Howe and Ira McConaughey.
